Actually, that was the distinction I made when I suggested this kind
of layout. Some stuff, like AWN requires Compiz (or some kind of
compositing, and Compiz (incl former Beryl & Compiz) is the prime
choice for that kind of compositing. Things that depend on Compiz
should be localised to Compiz, in order to bring developers closer
together, and to show potential developers how things can be done.
I made a specific point out of the fact that there are things that do
not depend on Compiz, but if they are close enough, they could get
some info on e.g. dock.compiz.org
That way, Compiz.org serve to a wide range of users who come to
compiz.org with a genuine interest for eye candy and eye candied
functionality.
Anyway, about not all agreeing to this. I acknowledge that it's the
weekend and things, so there *may* be relevant disagreement, but other
than that, development will require some sort of show of hands on
agreement in order for it to move forward. (I consider myself not
allowed to vote, as I'm just a user happening to be subscribed to this
list.
I have earlier uttered the wish to have a real leadership of this
project. That might happen the day pigs fly, but even so, there needs
to be some guidelines on how to make decisions. This anarchy will soon
turn into an oligarchy, if there are no guidelines or leadership.
