ok then, adding --prefix = /usr to the autogen.sh didn't seem to fix my
problems.....

i do a search for such a file and none exist....
doing it with -fi, does this
iambob at bob-linux:~/compComm/compiz-scripts/manager$ ./compiz-manager
-fi
Writing configuration to: /home/iambob/.compiz-managerrc
../compiz-manager: line 494: [: missing `]'
compiz: Plugin 'ini' already active
compiz: Failed to load slide: freedesktop
compiz: Failed to load slide: freedesktop
../compiz-manager: line 471: 7059 Segmentation fault (core dumped)
compiz $ARGS $PLUGINS
with -v, produces this http://delfick.storage.googlepages.com/error.txt
which produces this ~/.compiz-managerrc file
http://delfick.storage.googlepages.com/compiz-managerrc.txt
the beryl check produces this
http://delfick.storage.googlepages.com/beryl-check.txt
also, note that i don't have helidor installed, yet it chooses it in the
compiz-managerrc file...

no, it was just
include /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*.conf
do i make it say
include /usr/local/lib/
include /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*.conf
??
(even if i do, it still comes up with the same error)
Also, video hardware+drivers etc? ;)
